SSGT Steven H. Bridges

Our hero, Steven H Bridges was born August 22, 1970.  In high school, he was active in drama.  When the Army recruiter visited the drama class, he wanted to sign up.  He went in at 17, after graduating high school. 

Steven did two tours in Korea and was involved in the Gulf War, during Desert Storm.  After returning from Desert Storm, Steve decided he wanted civilian life, however he soon found he missed the Army.  Upon returning to the Army he was based at Fort Lewis, WA, where he met his future wife.  He became the father of three, and they had a daughter together. 

Steven loved the holidays, especially Halloween.  He was a family man and proud soldier.  He was planning on becoming a history teacher after he retired from the Army. 

Our son, SSGT Steven Bridges died December 08, 2003 in Iraq while on patrol in a roll over Stryker accident.
