A Bit About William
William Mason Sigua was born on March 21, 1985 in Santa Clara, CA, and died January 31, 2007 at the age of 21 in Iraq while serving his country in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

William grew up in Los Altos Hills and attended Bullis-Purissima Elementary School, Egan Jr. High and Los Altos High School. He was active in sports including football, wrestling, track and rugby.
​
His military career began in July 2003 after graduating from Los Altos High School. He was an infantry squad leader assigned to the 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division based at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He served in Afghanistan in 2004 and began his deployment in Iraq in August, 2006.

William’s awards and commendations include the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, and Army Achievement Medal with three Oak Clusters.
​
He is survived by his parents Ben and Jackie Sigua, and older brothers, David Sigua and Jonathan Sigua.

William was loved by all, he is our hero.
